1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and StayVue Technologies ("StayVue", "we", "us", "our"), governing your access to and use of the StayVue platform, mobile applications, APIs, and all associated services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, clicking "I agree", downloading our app, or otherwise accessing the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them.
2. Description of Services
StayVue provides a cloud-based property monitoring platform that enables short-term rental hosts, property operators, and managers to:
- Connect and stream live HD video feeds from IP cameras
- Receive AI-powered motion detection alerts
- Grant time-limited camera access to guests and staff
- Store encrypted video footage in the cloud
- Manage multiple properties from a single dashboard
- Access analytics, usage reports, and audit trails
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice to users.
3. User Accounts
To access StayVue you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your password and not share account credentials
- Promptly notify us of any unauthorised use of your account
- Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
StayVue reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent activity.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
StayVue offers paid subscription plans billed monthly or annually. By selecting a paid plan, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.
- Free Trial: Where offered, free trials are limited to one per person or organisation. After the trial period, your account will be automatically billed at the plan rate unless cancelled.
- Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Refunds: All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the end of the billing period.
- Price Changes: We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price changes before they take effect.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Monitor individuals without their knowledge or lawful consent
- Harass, stalk, or surveil any person in a manner that constitutes an invasion of privacy
- Transmit or store unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, systems, or networks
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the platform
- Resell, sublicense, or transfer your subscription without written consent
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, overload, or impair our infrastructure
6. Camera & Recording Policy
You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of cameras and recordings complies with all applicable privacy, surveillance, and data protection laws in your jurisdiction. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Obtaining appropriate consent from guests, tenants, and staff before recording
- Placing cameras only in lawful locations (never in bedrooms, bathrooms, or other private spaces)
- Displaying appropriate notices where cameras are in use
- Complying with platform-specific rules (e.g., Airbnb, Vrbo) regarding camera disclosure
StayVue is a technology provider only. We are not responsible for how users deploy cameras or recordings and accept no liability for user-caused privacy violations.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, technology, trademarks, logos, and software comprising the StayVue platform are the exclusive property of StayVue Technologies or its licensors, protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes. You retain ownership of all video footage and data you upload to or generate through the Service.
You grant StayVue a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your content solely as necessary to provide the Service.
8. Privacy
Your use of StayVue is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. StayVue does not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
- Camera feeds will be available 100% of the time
- The Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations
- Any defects or errors will be corrected within a particular timeframe
StayVue is a monitoring aid, not a substitute for professional security services. We make no guarantee that the use of our platform will prevent crime, property damage, or other losses.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StayVue Technologies and its directors, employees, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
In no event shall StayVue's total liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to StayVue in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
11. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time through the account settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, with or without notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered users via email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
