StayVue is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your information.
1. Overview
StayVue ("StayVue", "we", "us") operates the StayVue platform, including our website and mobile app. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use our Service.
We act as a data controller for account and usage data. StayVue provides temporary, view-only guest access to approved exterior cameras — we do not store camera recordings through the platform.

3. How We Use Your Data
We use personal data to:
- Provide temporary, view-only guest access to approved exterior cameras
- Process connected-device authorizations (including Google OAuth tokens)
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
- Send product updates and marketing communications (only where you have opted in)
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not store camera recordings through StayVue, and guest access does not provide access to recordings.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the platform (cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery). These providers are contractually bound to process data only as instructed by us.
- Guest Access: When you grant a guest access, they can view the specific exterior cameras you authorise for the duration of the reservation. Access is view-only and automatically expires.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred. We will notify you before any such transfer.
5. Development Partner and Technical Service Provider
StayVue has engaged TekRevol LLC (“TekRevol”) as its authorized software development partner and technical service provider for the design, development, maintenance, integration, and technical support of the StayVue platform and associated applications.
As part of this engagement, TekRevol is authorized by StayVue to perform technical activities on StayVue’s behalf, including the implementation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and support of third-party services and APIs, including Google APIs, Google Cloud services, Google OAuth, Google Home APIs, and other Google services utilized by the StayVue platform, where applicable.
TekRevol may access systems, development environments, application configurations, API credentials, and limited user information only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide these development and technical services. Any such access is performed solely on behalf of and under the direction and authorization of StayVue and is subject to applicable confidentiality, security, and data-protection requirements.
StayVue remains the owner and operator of the StayVue platform and is responsible for determining how user information is collected and used. TekRevol does not independently own, sell, or use StayVue or Google user data for its own commercial purposes.
For purposes of technical integration, application verification, API configuration, troubleshooting, security review, and communication with third-party service providers, including Google, TekRevol is expressly authorized to represent StayVue in its capacity as StayVue’s development and technical integration partner.
6. Google Home Integration
StayVue allows short-term rental hosts to securely connect supported Google Home devices using Google's authorized OAuth process.
Hosts choose which approved exterior cameras are shared with guests during an active reservation.
Guest access is temporary and view-only. Guests cannot control cameras, change device settings, or access recordings through StayVue. Guest access automatically expires at the end of the reservation.
This integration is designed specifically to provide short-term rental hosts and their guests with greater transparency while allowing hosts to maintain control of their connected devices.
7. Data Storage & Security
Account data, OAuth tokens, and access records are stored using industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and access controls. Live camera views are relayed for temporary guest access — StayVue does not provide access to stored recordings.
We implement industry-standard security measures including multi-factor authentication, intrusion detection, regular penetration testing, and access logging. However, no system is completely immune to security risks, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specific retention periods:
- Account data: Retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days after closure
- Access grants and logs: Retained for the reservation period plus a limited period for security and audit purposes
- OAuth tokens: Retained while your device connection is active; deleted upon disconnection or account closure
- Support communications: Retained for 3 years
- Audit logs: Retained for 12 months
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8). Some data may be retained where required by law.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (see our Data Deletion Policy)
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to certain processing activities, including direct marketing
- Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
- Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time

StayVue is based in the United States. Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers where required by applicable law.
